Britney in The Best of The Decade in VH1 Latin America
VH1 Latin America runs every weekend a Top 20 with the best 20 music video from a selected topic. This weekend the topic was "The Best of The Decade", and of course, Britney had to be in that list. She got into second place with the music video for Oops!.. I Did It Again, she was only beaten by Madonna.
Britney's latest single, 3, has managed to stay at position #9 on Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart. The song sold 72,339 copies this week, and has sold 1.152.169 copies overall. This song could be certificated as platinum for selling more than one million digital copies. Here is the top 20:

Britney's latest compilation has made its debut in Mexico. The album debuted on position #68 this week. 50 Cent says people should keep looking out for Britney Spears, even if she appears to be recovered from her breakdown and believes people want him to suffer similar problems
He said: "I feel like the general public turns you into a favourite by consuming your material. We all start from an underdog space. And after they consume it, they begin to resent you for not bearing the same pressures. Because you're in this financial space where they know you're not under the same circumstances they are. ... This is why they like nothing more than to see Britney Spears when she's shaving her head and swinging at the cameras."
Although Britney went on to recover from her problems and is currently on a world tour, 50 thinks the 'Gimme More' hitmaker should be receiving more help.
He added to MTV News: "We should be covering her more now. They covered it during the confusion, but the intensity, that's less than when she made the comeback."
Britney Spears has allegedly told insiders she can’t wait to leave Oz and never come back.
A source close to the singer - who plays Sydney’s Acer Arena tonight (Nov 20), before heading off to Brisbane - told the Chicago Sun Times: “She is very happy to be getting out of that country.”
And it seems Britters might never come back once she’s wrapped the final night of her ‘Circus’ tour.
A source said: “It’s been hard for her. She’s never been subjected to this level of criticism before. She hadn’t had an easy year of it before all this.”
The singer has been enjoying the sights of Sydney, nevertheless, and yesterday (Nov 19) took a trip around the Harbour in a private boat. One mole told us: “She’s licking her wounds at the moment after all the negative press. She just wants to keep her head down and be gentle on herself. ”
Meanwhile, Michael Buble, who’s also in Oz, has jumped to her defence saying the criticism is “nasty” and telling Aussie media to give the poor girl a break.
Michael told Melbourne’s Herald Sun: “You'd think she killed someone. Okay, she lip-synchs her show. People know that, they make the decision if they want to go and see her do that.
"Does she deserve the way she's been completely bashed by the media here? No."
We agree, Buble.
Oh Britterz, we understand why you might feel like giving the country and everyone in it the two-fingered salute, but millions of folk down here love you, sweetie. Honest.
We’d hate to think we’d never see you again. Or that a couple of viper-tongued journos had won…
Canadian crooner MICHAEL BUBLE has defended BRITNEY SPEARS over her lip-synced shows - slamming Australian journalists for their harsh criticism of the star.
Spears has come under fire since she took her Circus tour Down Under, with many media outlets blasting her decision not to sing live. The pop star was subsequently forced to dismiss rumours of a mass walkout at her gig in Perth earlier this month (06Nov09) when the press reported hordes of fans had left in disgust after they realised she was lip-syncing.
But now Buble has come out in defence of the Toxic hitmaker, insisting her fans can choose whether to see her gigs or not. He says, "You'd think she killed someone. As an artist, and a human being, some of what has been written about her is so nasty. OK, she lip-syncs her show, people know that, they make the decision if they want to go and see her do that."

In addition, Britney was the first artist to launch a line of virtual gifts with Facebook and currently has 2.4 million fans on her Facebook Page.
Rumor: Alternate Version of "The Singles Collection" May Include "3" Video!
According to HMV, some alternate versions may include the "3" music video. On HMV.com, where the information of "The Singles Collection" is displayed, you can see the "3" music video on the tracklisting. The video is listed as the first music video on the bonus DVD included on the CD+DVD, it is followed by "...Baby One More Time" and all of Britney's music videos. It is unknown if this is official, or if it was just an error. This version has an alternate cover and will be sold exclusively on UK.
Recently there were some rumors that Britney would be performing at the Club Star. They claimed she would do Circus acts and that she would do a performance of "3". This has been confirmed as fake by BRITannica. Don't buy tickets!
Britney's latest single "3" has lowered from debuting in position number one, to position number five. This may have happened because of lack of promo. I'm sure that the music video release (I'm hoping it's soon!) will pump it up. Look on the bright side, still top 5. :)
Here are the details on the different versions of the upcoming The Singles Collection. Learn all about the track listings and bonus features on the following versions of The Singles Collection below.

BRITNEY SPEARS DEBUTS AT #1 "3" Shatters Billboard Hot 100 Record
New Album"The Singles Collection" In Stores Nov. 24
New York, NY - Britney Spears debuts at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her new single "3," making her the first artist to do so in over three years, Billboard magazine reports. The critically acclaimed single will also debut at #1 on the Billboard Digital charts.
Rolling Stone Magazine called "3" an "instant Britney classic," and gave the hit a four-star review, building further anticipation for the release of her album The Singles Collection on Nov. 24. The song, recorded with hit maker Max Martin, trumped a title previous held by American Idol winner Taylor Hicks since 2006. Britney is the first artist outside of the American Idol camp to claim the #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 since Lauren Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing") in 1998, according to Billboard magazine.
"I want to thank my fans for making "3" the # 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100," Britney said in response to the news. "I am truly blessed with the greatest fans in the world and I am so happy y'all love it because I do this all for you. I can't wait till you see the video." The video for "3" will soon premiere on Britney.com, Britneyspears.com and her other official web properties.
"3" becomes the latest Britney classic and is the only new song to appear on The Singles Collection. There will be two configurations of The Singles Collection; an ultimate fan box set and a standard version.
The ultimate fan box set version of The Singles Collection will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song "3." Each disc will be packaged in its own slip sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track. The collection will include a DVD featuring all of Britney's videos in chronological order. The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track.
The standard version of The Singles Collection will contain 17 of her chart topping favorites along with the new song "3," all on one CD and will be available November 10th.
During her 10 year career, Britney has had 5 albums debut at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 Album Chart, as well as 23 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart. Worldwide, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, constantly topping charts with her albums ...Baby One More Time (1999); Oops!... I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003); Blackout (2007) and Circus (2008). Worldwide she has sold over 63 million albums.
Britney Spears is currently touring in support of her most recent studio album Circus. "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" tour which started in her home state of Louisiana in March 2009.
I just saw the 'popularity' level on iTunes, and Miley Cyrus is getting closer to our girl B! So, this is just a reminder for you guys to keep buying '3'. Let's keep it on number one!
Which would you rather do: laze on a sun-soaked beach, or share a stage with the Princess of Pop?
For Jordin Sparks, it was a no-brainer.
When the American Idol star was coming to the end of an exhausting tour with the JonasBrothers and putting in countless hours on her new video at the same time, she was beginning to fantasize about taking a break from the road.
But then came that once-in-a-lifetime call from Britney Spear’s camp.
“They said: ‘Britney Spears needs an opener and we want to know if you want to do it, today.’
“And, I was like ‘I don’t get time to think?’ At the time a was planning a vacation after the tour.”
“But, who thinks about that kind of thing?
“It was a lot of fun and watching her on stage was great — being able to see her up on that stage again with everything going on around her, like her costumes changes and she was dancing and she was doing her thing and it was really cool out there.
“Because, I mean, she has been a part of my life since I was 9 years old. She’s been the epitome of celebrity since I was little, so to see her up there doing what she loves was really, really cool.”
No drugs or alcohol for Britney’s staff Designed to keep temptation from singer
Britney Spears is demanding her 225-strong support crew – including local production staff and support acts – be given random drug and alcohol tests while in Australia.
In a bid to keep her tour clean, Spears has ordered her tour party obey the terms of a confidential contract outlawing alcohol and drugs on her sell-out tour, Circus.
The ban extends to 150 local staff working on the tour, the Sunday Herald Sun reports.
“Britney’s rule is clear – zero tolerance,” a well-placed concert industry source said.
“No drink. No drugs. If you do not comply, you do not tour with Britney.”
Spears will perform in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in November.
The restrictions are designed to keep alcohol and drugs away from Spears, who suffered a substance-fuelled meltdown two years ago.
Spears must stay clean to avoid child custody issues.
Sons Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, will travel to Australia with Spears.
Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, will also be in the tour entourage.
Spears carried out drink and drug testing before and during her US tour and before her European dates.
“She will demand the same rules here,” the source said. “You are not allowed to drink and, obviously, there are no drugs.”
The alcohol ban extends to drinking beer or wine with a meal, even on days off.
A concert industry insider showed the confidential contract clause to the Sunday Herald Sun.
It states: “No alcohol. No drugs. These are terms of being on this tour.”
Anyone found breaching those terms would have their contract terminated.
It also said everyone on Spears’ Circus tour is subject to random drug and alcohol tests.
The tests involve giving a urine sample to Spears’ tour management team.
Those who sign the contract are bound by a confidentiality agreement.
A spokeswoman for Spears said she was not aware of the zero-tolerance clause in the tour contract.
Her tour publicist said: “Our focus is the amazing show Britney is bringing to Australia.”
Tour director Steve Dixon, said the formerly troubled superstar was in a good place.
“Part of her new life is balance,” Dixon said last month.
“She’s in great shape, she loves being on stage – it’s her favourite part of the day.
“The hard point is getting from place to place.
“But once we’re there, we have this little city backstage and it’s great.”
Also notable on Pop Songs is the debut at No. 38 for Britney Spears’ “3.” The song is Spears’ 24th career entry, most among all artists since she first arrived with “…Baby One More Time” on the chart dated Oct. 24, 1998.
With “3″ topping iTunes’ sales chart following its digital release yesterday (Oct. 6), expect the song to rocket onto next week’s Billboard Hot 100. Spears’ second hits set, “The Singles Collection,” arrives Nov. 24.
“3″ is only the second title to grace Pop Songs whose title consists solely of a single digit. Prince’s “7″ hit No. 3 in 1993.

Britney was featured in an issue of More! Magazine in June 2009 that claimed to have exclusive details about her life.
Excerpts included:
Clubs: Britney: "I'm just not that into going out late at night or going to clubs anymore. It's the last thing I want to do with my life. I'm not interested in being with people who are looking to exploit me. I'm staying close to my family and friends and living very peacefully. I need my energy from my children and music. I want to show people that I'm a strong woman. I have a lot of great things ahead of me that I want to accomplish."
Relaxing: I'm taking my time these days and not letting myself feel any pressure other than to just feel happy.
Being happy? There are so many things that I am grateful for. I just want to make the most of this time in my life and build from there. It's a good feeling.
Turns out the interview was a fake!
Now, More! magazine is retracting their exclusive and apologizing to Britney and her fans on behalf of their foolishness in their newest issue, saying:
"More! would like to apologize to our readers and to Britney Spears for having wrongly described the Q&A with Ms Spears we published in our June 8, 2009 issue as an exclusive. The article was brought to More! by a freelance contributor, Jan Janssen.
We now understand that Ms. Spears quotes where given to the press generally and not exclusively to Jan Janssen. The article was not a more! exclusive as we had been led to believe. Nor was it authorized by Ms. Spears. We apologize to Ms. Spears for any distress and damage caused."
More! has agreed to pay "damages" and Britney's legal fees.
Britney was spotted buying Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits CD Tuesday afternoon, but would he buy The Singles Collection?
CNN released quotes today from tapes Jackson recorded with his friend and spiritual adviser, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, between August 2000 and April 2001 and Jackson mentioned Britney, saying:
"I don't believe that she'll have any great longevity in the public eye because she doesn't understand the power of mystery."
Britney was seen shopping at Target. She was grabbing a copy of Michael Jackson's Number Ones. Two days before he passed away, she grabbed another copy. Maybe an inspiration for her coming compilation or a MJ cover for the tour?

"1. It's called '3' and it's a Max Martin production.
2. We won't beat around the bush - it's about having a threesome.
3. The chorus, which has more than a hint of the playground chant about it, goes like this: "1-2-3 not only you and me / Got 180 degrees / And I'm caught in between / Counting 1-2-3 feed upon that three / Getting down with repeat / Everybody loves ohhhhh". The "ohhhhh", in case you were wondering, is a classic Britney lusty sigh.
4. Britney makes her intentions very clear elsewhere, telling us "living in sin is the new thing" on the bridge and offering this coaxing couplet on the second verse: "Three is a charm, two's not the same / "I don't see the harm, so are you game?"
5. Enough already with the lyrics! What does '3' sound like? Well, it's uptempo, quite electropoppy on the verses and a little bit ravey on the choruses.
6. '3' would fit better on Circus than Blackout - it's got that slightly cartoony quality that the more recent album sometimes has. The Britney track to which it's most closely related is probably 'If U Seek Amy', though they're more like second cousins who only see each other at family funerals and weddings than brother and sister.
7. The best bit of the song is the middle 8, on which Max Martin cools things down with some synthetic strings, a load of bassy beats kick in and Britters offers her boyfriend a get-out clause: "If you don't like the company / Let's do it just you and me..."
8. ...Before promptly changing her mind by suggesting "or three... or four on the floor". That last bit's pretty clever, because the beats she's singing over at the time could legitimately be classified as "four-on-the-floor".
9. It took us a few plays to fall for '3' - and truth be told it's no 'Gimme More' or 'Womanizer' - but as a fun, fruity newbie to round off a potentially brilliant Singles Collection, it does its job very well indeed.
10. It's premiering on US radio today, so expect to be hearing it very soon. The first UK play, in case you were wondering, will be on Radio 1 this Wednesday afternoon."
